EMI RFI EMC Filters

EMI filters serve the purpose of reducing the harmful effects of electromagnetic interference from a device. The filter consists of two components, an inductor and a capacitator, with the capacitator reducing the amount of direct current allowed into the device, while allowing alternating currents to pass through uninhibited. the inductor helps to retain the electromagnetic energy within the magnetic field, reducing the total voltage of the device.
